After consultation with you to determine your specific goals and educational needs, an individualized didactic lecture and hands-on scanning syllabus is created. Up to five 45 min didactic lectures are given per day, with interspersed sessions of live scanning to address the imaging aspect of fetal cardiac diagnosis and to optimize greyscale, Doppler and functional cardiac assessment.
-
Topics for didactic lectures include cardiac screening, functional and rhythm assessment, and most other structural lesions or abnormalities. Optional didactic sessions for ARDMS board preparation in fetal echocardiography can also be included in the program, including a large bank of practice exam questions provided to your sonographers.
-
Hands-on training is performed at the bedside on your own systems; imaging parameters and machine settings may also be optimized with assistance of an applications specialist at your discretion.
-
Courses are accredited through SDMS for CME credit; credit hours for didactic lectures are provided on a 1 credit:1 hour basis. Credit for hands-on scanning is prorated commensurate with participation.
-
Expert review of anonymized images provided to us at 2 and 6 month post-course intervals is offered in order to provide feedback and further guidance on cardiac imaging.
-
By special arrangement, individual courses for practitioners may be available with Dr Solomon privately; please inquire for additional details.
